Easy on hands & wrists. This class takes you from a standing flow for balance to seated on the chair for some soothing stretches! Feel free to have a strap (or belt/leash/scarf) nearby for one of the seated stretches.
Chair Yoga involves breathing exercises and yoga postures with the support of a chair while maintaining the same body mechanics and benefits as traditional asana. This style of yoga is suitable for beginners, those recovering from injuries or illness, or simply seeking to learn the foundational elements of yoga.
Level 1 classes introduce basic Yoga postures, breathing fundamentals and instruct how to work with the body in order to access subtleties of the mind. Yoga props and use will be introduced, as well as Sanskrit terms for postures, and breath-work.
