Use this hour to find your calm for the day and gain more confidence by challenging yourself physically to expand yourself mentally. With your breath, you will find strength, balance, and work on hip opening postures for energy movement from within.
This practice will help you open up your whole back body so you can sit with better posture for an extended period. Blocks are recommended but not required, and alternate nostril breathing is used to balance the left and right hemispheres of the body to facilitate a higher equilibrium.
Give your wrist rest while you flow through poses using minimal weight bearing on the hands.
Turn on your core yogis, and prepare for and practice Headstand 1 and 2, L-shape on the wall, and Pincha Mayurasana, all yogi favorites. Patience is the key to inversions, you might not get each pose on the first try, but practice and eventually you will.
Flow and explore the dance of life as you prepare the body and practice Natarajasana or Dancers Pose. Work with the rhythm of your breath as you flow gracefully with strength in your core and legs while expanding your heart with confidence and ease in this single-leg standing balance pose.
Taraneh Sarrafzadeh
A practice to get you connected deep into your core. You will tap into your bandhas and body midline to find stability and stable standing postures along with Sun Salutation A. You will discover the power of deep core strength from within, rather than muscling your way through the poses.
A slower-paced practice to prepare your arrival into Eka Pada Rajakapotasana or King Pigeon, work with the rhythm of your breath as you find your expression of this regal pose with strength and flexibility with the hips and openness of the heart. Support the deepening of the posture with props as you unfold into your magnificent self.
A playful sequence mix of fun transitions and asana postures lets you explore the opportunities for standing balances to bind and arm balance and deep stretches. Regardless of your practice level, challenge your body, mind, and playful spirit to explore your movements in new ways!
